nebulous horizons

This photograph was taken down at Babbacombe beach, late Summer. It will be used in my Art Specialist Project; 'Elemental'. I enhanced the stormy, foggy atmosphere with the help of Photoshop Elements which i think creates an almost sinister feel. I really love the calm, indigo ocean contrasted against the disturbed sky. The boat & light rays also add to the careful composition.

the softest touch

This photograph again keeps with the 'candid', 'informal' nature of my portraiture project; inspired by Corrine Day. It was taken by my boyfriend and edited by me. I inflicted soft focusing to create a hazy, almost 'halo' effect, giving it similar styling to David Hamilton, who recreated fairy-tale-like scenes. The use of focus & lighting alongside warm tones depicts a summery feel. I also really like the reflective textures seen in the background, adding to the overall creativity of this photograph.
